Ms Gideon
Ms Gideon is an up and coming artist from Windhoek, Namibia. Her vocal tone and songwriting ability are what sets her apart from any other artist in the region. Her dream is to put her country on the musical map and represent her people to the rest of Africa and in turn, the world.
The versatility she demonstrates musically goes to show that she is not confined by boundaries. She can sing a heartfelt song, and on the same day write a Hip-hop club record.
In January 2026, we signed an artist recording deal for Ms Gideon with Sony Music Africa. This was unprecedented, as Ms Gideon is the first female Namibian music artist to sign a major record deal, and the first ever to sign to Sony Music Entertainment.
Ms Gideon has a lot of music coming out in 2026, starting with her debut single since signing called Tiki Tak Tak which came out on 27th February 2026.

Government institutions, corporates and the private sector have been investing in Namibian arts as seen by the immense developments that have taken place over the past ten years.

The industry lacks major record labels and robust distribution systems, making it difficult for artists to reach global audiences. It also lacks efficient royalty collection infrastructure or awareness of IP rights, making it difficult for artists to monetise their content at all, even within the country. The Namibia Society of Composers and Authors of Music (NASCAM) helps protect copyright and manage royalties.
